Safety Department

What we can do for YOU!

Safety Programs

If your company is in need of any Safety Program, our department has a variety of programs to assist you or we can create what you need.

Safety Meetings

Once a month our department can come to your facility and give a Safety Meeting on a subject you desire or you may choose from topics we have available.

Hazardous Material Inventory

In order to ensure chemical safety in the workplace, information must be available about the identities and hazards of the chemicals. OSHA's Hazard Communication Standard (HCS) requires the development and distribution of such information. Our department has the ability to evaluate your workplace chemicals and collect the appropriate Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS).

Training

If your company needs any type of training, our department is more than willing to offer our services to train your employees on a topic we have available or a topic of your choice.

Safety Committee’s

Set-up of committee, running of, and applying for the discount.

Workover Rigs

Getty Well Service is a company that provides Workover Rigs for use by producers in Pennsylvania and West Virginia. The smaller rigs that are available have the capability to bail or swab. The larger rigs can run tubing or four inch casing.

  1. Swabbing fluid out of tubing or casing can be dangerous if caution is not taken while completing this task. An example of this would be if the flow line is not secured properly to the tank. As fluid begins to return it can cause a considerable amount of momentum in this line that could cause injury.
  2. Running tubing or casing presents danger as a result of weight. Attention must be paid to properly securing the rig to compensate for the weight. Always plan for an escape route should one be needed if pipe or the mast begins to fall.
